Largely self-taught, Xavier has taken photographs for many years, working in a variety of different fields, always seeking the best light at the precise moment for what he wishes to capture.
Having taken a course in black-and-white analogue photography at the Casa de Elizalde, he discovered that the themes he most closely identifies with are landscape and macrophotography, as well as folklore and popular fiestas such as Castellers, Correfocs, etc. He has also explored socially-engaged photography and since 2007 has been undertaking a black-and-white project on street musicians.
He is the recipient of several awards and has exhibited in work in both individual and collective shows. He is currently contributing to a magazine in the baked goods and desserts sector.
