Studied photography at the Institut d’Estudis Fotogràfics de Catalunya (IEFC). Since 2001, he has worked in the field of audiovisual media and has exhibited, screened, and published his work as a documentary photographer.
Àngel has held solo exhibitions in numerous galleries in Spain and abroad and shown his work at the Visa pour l’Image international photojournalism festival (2008), the photography and journalism seminar organized by the Fundación Albarracín (2009), and the OjodePez Photo Meeting Barcelona (2010). He has participated in collective exhibitions at Trafic 08 in Barcelona, the PhotoPhnomPenh Festival in Cambodia (2009), the VII Biennal de Fotografía Xavier Miserachs, Piel de Foto (2012), and DOCfield>15, as part of Crónica21.
His work has also appeared in the Sunday supplement of El Periódico (Catalonia), La Vanguardia, Interviú, Piel de Foto, La Maleta de Portbou, Mía, Runner’s World, Die Rheinpfalz and Der Spiegel (Germany), and laRegione Ticino (Switzerland).
In the field of documentary filmmaking, he began in 2009 with the production and still photography of the documentary Good Luck for You Every Day: La increíble historia de Peng Phan, made in Cambodia. The reportage about this project published in the Agenda de la Imatge (UPIFC) was awarded the first Clic’07 grant for young photojournalists of the Generalitat de Catalunya.
