Dani Planas Labad



Barcelona, 1972

Documentary and travel photographer based in Barcelona. His projects focus on local people, traditions, religions and other social issues such as immigration in “Rusty Dreams” and pediatric HIV in Africa in “The Positive Kids”. Combining self-taught and academic training, he studied of Travel and Portrait Photography in Pati Llimona, Photojournalism and Social Photography at the Centre de Fotografia i Mitjans Documentals (CFD Barcelona) with RUIDO PHOTO and Multimedia at the Institut d’Estudis Fotogràfics de Catalunya (IEFC) with José Bautista. He has recently incorporated video and audio into his work.

He has published in magazines such as Altaïr and has held individual and collective exhibitions, participating in festivals such as the Biennal d’Olot, Photogenic Festival in Barcelona, Fine Art in Igualada, Festival OFF in Perpignan and The Annenberg Space for Photography in Los Angeles.
