David Guillén



Madrid, 1986

As a photographer I feel drawn to “light”. Usually the rest comes later.I like simplicity and honesty in life and photography. That is what I try to achieve anytime I create an image.-

David has been commisioned to portrait and film many cultural issues all over the globe. He has also worked within the creative industry for over 5 years and has been developing his own personal documentary photography projects.

He’s been giving his personal sight to events, celebrities and performances for such organizations like BritEs Magazine, National Choir of Scotland and University of Edinburgh. A part from photography, he has developed “Maria Guillen Pottery” Documentary  and “The Control Building” as a filmmaker and a director. His last project “A Tale on The Mile”, a photobook and an exhibition, has been recently exhibited at the Museum of Edinburgh, the Gallery Cervantes Institute in Manchester, and it is currently turing around UK. Currently working with the Photographer Ross Fraser McLean at his studio RoRo in Summerhall.
