A freelance photographer formerly represented by the agency Cordon Press. Currently combines long-term projects with the organization of photography trips to India.
After studying economics, with a focus on developing economies, Juli lived in India for five years, working with an NGO and cultivating his passion for photography. He later studied photojournalism at Grisart Escola Internacional de Fotografia in Barcelona and was accepted by Magnum Photos into a course for young photographers given by Antoine d’Agata.
He is a member of the Italian association Free Lance International Press (FLIP News) and has collaborated with the Italian photographer Giulio Di Sturco (recipient of a Getty grant and winner of two World Press Photo Awards and a Sony World Photography Award) on subjects such the elections in Nepal and child prostitution in Kathmandu and Kashmir. His work has appeared in the Guardian, Times of India, Virginia Quarterly Review, Colors, Interviú, El Periódico, and Avui and he has exhibited in New York and Barcelona. He is a co-founder of the photography collective Photopium.
