Madrid, 1985. Independent photojournalist currently based in Barcelona and working around the world. Focused on the international scene, since 2008 he has worked with news agencies, media outlets and NGOs, including The Associated Press, CNN, TIME Magazine, The New York Times, El Pais, Revista 5W, The Sunday Times or Open Arms, among others. His work has been published in major newspapers and magazines worldwide and recognised with many awards including: World Press Photo, Pictures of the Year, Overseas Press Club, Luis Valtueña, Istanbul Photo Award, National Headliners, El Mundo Newspaper’s Reporteros Award, or the National Photojournalism Award of Spain in 2015 and 2016, among many others. In 2018 he was selected as one of Europe’s six talents by the 6×6 Global Talent Program of the World Press Photo Foundation. A trained sociologist and journalist by trade, he focuses much of his work on conflicts, migrations and environmental issues.
